My first grandchild; born 6 years ago August 31st. I am certain that all grandparents are proud of their grandkids and enjoy spoiling them as much as I do. Years ago when I heard other folks talk this way, I didn’t quite get it. I do now. I just don’t have the spoiling opportunity with enough frequency. They live in Austin and I live near Fort Worth. Before non-residents of Texas think that’s 
no big deal, that drive is in the neighborhood of 4 hours, one way (pardon my whine).
